"Like [Aaron Dessner's] recent collaboration with Taylor Swift, 'All That Emotion' boasts sweeping orchestration and cozy melodies." - New York Times

4/5 stars: "magisterial indie-pop for introverts...Georgas won’t get a fraction of the attention enjoyed by her producer’s previous client, but she deserves at least some of the same kudos" — The Guardian

The album's title track "That Emotion" came out as a single on March 6, 2020, about a week before the COVID-19 lockdowns spread around the globe. Though the LP was made in 2019, it was "about healing, self reflection and getting up again at the end of the day" according to Hannah, and these lyrical themes of change and resilience brought calm and comfort to human hearts frayed by trying, pandemic times.

Produced by Aaron Dessner alongside his trusty engineer/mixer Jon Low, pandemic disruptions meant 'All That Emotion' ended up being released after their headline grabbing work on Tayor Swift's 'folklore' — a COVID-era phenomenon which won them a (well-deserved) Grammy for Album of the Year. Perhaps it is obvious why Hannah's more personal, intimate work didn't command that kind of mass cultural relevancy, but let's recognize her achievements. In her native Canada, where her music is no underground secret, the album earned a JUNO Awards nomination and the title track was #1 on CBC Music's radio charts for two weeks running, above artists like The Strokes, HAIM, Phoebe Bridgers, and Harry Styles. Globally, the music received broad critical support; radio play on Sirius XM and XPN's nationally syndicated World Cafe program; a special limited vinyl pressing via Vinyl Me Please; and placements in numerous TV shows.

In addition to Aaron and Jon's contributions, collaborators from our extended family included Thomas "Doveman" Bartlett, Arone Dyer (Buke & Gase), James McAlister, Dave Nelson, Sean Stroka (Ten Kills the Pack) and Jason Treuting (So Percussion).
